Job Description
This role will be based in LinkedIn's offices in Sunnyvale.

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
The Sr. Associate, Strategic Finance Systems (EPM/EDM) will support the strategy, implementation, enhancement, and administration of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and Enterprise Data Management (EDM) platforms. This role partners with Finance, Data, Engineering, and Business teams to improve financial planning processes, strengthen data governance, and enable accurate reporting and forecasting capabilities.
The ideal candidate combines financial systems experience, financial planning knowledge, data analysis skills, and cross-functional collaboration to drive scalable solutions that support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
EPM/EDM Strategy & Systems Management
- Support the development and execution of the EPM and EDM roadmap, including process improvements, automation opportunities, and platform enhancements.
- Gather and translate business and finance requirements into system solutions, specifications, and implementation plans.
- Assess and recommend improvements to planning, forecasting, metadata management, and reporting processes.
- Evaluate the impact of proposed system changes on financial planning and reporting workflows.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner with Finance, Engineering, Data, and Business stakeholders to identify requirements and implement solutions.
- Communicate system capabilities, process changes, and recommendations to stakeholders across multiple functions.
- Support governance discussions related to system architecture, hierarchies, metadata structures, and planning processes.
- Facilitate alignment among stakeholders during project planning and execution.
Project Delivery & Operational Excellence
- Lead or support implementation of EPM/EDM enhancements, upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.
- Manage project timelines, dependencies, testing activities, and stakeholder communications.
- Identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and recommend solutions for complex business and system challenges.
- Maintain data governance standards, hierarchy management processes, and change management controls.
Forecasting, Planning & Reporting Enablement
- Support the design, maintenance, and enhancement of financial planning models, forecasting processes, and reporting structures within EPM platforms.
- Ensure users have access to accurate data, metadata structures, and reporting capabilities necessary for business analysis.
- Partner with stakeholders to improve forecasting accuracy, planning efficiency, and reporting effectiveness.
- Support ad hoc analysis and business performance reviews as needed.
Team & Organizational Contribution
- Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Share knowledge, document processes, and support adoption of new tools and capabilities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance team effectiveness and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field and 7+ years of experience in financial systems, finance, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, business operations, or a related field; OR equivalent practical experience.
- Experience supporting financial planning, forecasting, reporting, or data governance processes.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into system or process solutions.
- Experience managing projects or workstreams involving multiple stakeholders.
- Experience analyzing data and communicating business insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platforms, such as Oracle Cloud EPM, Hyperion, Anaplan, SAP BPC, OneStream, or similar technologies.
- Experience with Enterprise Data Management (EDM), metadata governance, hierarchy management, or master data management processes.
- Experience supporting financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving Finance, Technology, and Data teams.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks, process automation, and systems optimization.
- Ability to develop clear business recommendations based on financial, operational, and system data.

The pay range for this role is $107,000 to $172,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
