Position Purpose
Develop plans and execute projects and initiatives for the assigned product portfolio, which support both the short and long-term marketing strategy, with the support of the line manager.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyse brand profitability and brand performance within the market.
Assist with the annual marketing plan development.
Take ownership of your brand and projects and ensure new product launches and all campaign elements are on time.
Input ideas for new product development and manage product development process.
Manage Brand portfolio.
Plan, execute and review consumer promotions.
Do regular store checks in all retailers to check on initiatives and brand exposure.
Work with advertising and PR agencies to implement PR and advertising strategy.
Organize brand events and sampling according to brand plan.
Align with International Marketing and translate international guidelines into a local strategy for your sub brand(s).
Monitor brand budget.
Assist line manager with projects.
Requirements
Strong analytical and project management skills
Structured organisational skills
Strong presentation skills
Great passion for brands and marketing
Confident, assertive self-starter with a drive for results and highly motivated
Willing to support and take over additional workload when required
Willing to travel within South Africa when the projects, company requires it
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Ability to multitask and prioritize
Strong attention to detail to guarantee high-quality level of execution for all brand related activities (NPD, packaging, BTL and ATL projects, etc.)
Ability to communicate with team members and management on a daily basis
Qualifications/experience
Completed, relevant Bachelor’s degree
A minimum of one years' relevant experience in similar environment, ideally with international exposure and product development experience
Preferably experience with premium FMCG brands
Excellent MS skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
