The Director of Facilities and Maintenance is responsible for the overall maintenance, safety, functionality, appearance, and regulatory readiness of all Lightshare Behavioral Wellness & Recovery facilities, buildings, grounds, equipment, and physical environments.
This position provides leadership and oversight for preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, vendors, facility safety, emergency response, work orders, and maintenance staff. The Director of Maintenance ensures that all facilities are maintained in a safe, clean, secure, and operational condition that supports the delivery of quality behavioral health services.
The Director works closely with Executive Leadership, Program Directors, Clinical Leadership, HR, Compliance, and outside vendors to identify facility needs, prioritize repairs, control costs, and maintain compliance with applicable regulatory, licensing, safety, and accreditation requirements, including CARF readiness.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive maintenance, facilities, property management, or related experience.
- Previous supervisory or management experience required.
- Experience managing multiple facilities preferred.
- Knowledge of building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, preventive maintenance, and general facility operations.
- Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and project-management skills.
- Ability to respond to emergencies and prioritize multiple facility needs.
- Must have some working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook for email communication.
- Knowledge of managing electronic maintenance ticketing systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, residential treatment, nonprofit, or other regulated environments preferred.

- Strong leadership and team-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple facilities and competing priorities.
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance principles.
- Ability to evaluate repair needs and contractor estimates.
- Strong budgeting and cost-control skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA, fire/life safety, environmental, and facility compliance requirements.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation.
- Effective communication skills with clinical, administrative, and executive teams.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a behavioral health environment.
