Position Summary

The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for daily shipping activities. This role works closely with warehouse, production, customer service, and logistics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process shipping documents including bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping labels.
  • Verify shipping quantities, product information, and customer orders for accuracy.
  • Maintain shipping records and update logistics systems with shipment details.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transportation regulations.
  • Lead shipping staff in daily tasks.
  • Assist with inventory control and reconciliation as it relates to shipping activities.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain coordination.
  • Knowledge of shipping procedures, carrier services, and transportation documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with international shipping and customs documentation.
  • Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and transportation regulations.
  • Forklift experience (5+ years).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 25-50 pounds.
  • Ability to use computers and office equipment for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures.

Reports to Shipping and Receiving Manager

Hours: M-F 6AM-4PM
