Job Summary

The Used Tire Final Grade is responsible for inspecting, grading, and sorting used tires based on quality, safety, and resale standards. This role ensures that all outgoing tires meet company and customer requirements for performance and compliance.

We provide training to help you learn how to properly evaluate and grade used tires based on their condition and remaining life.

2nd Shift Hours Are: Mon - Fri 3pm - 12am

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect used tires for defects, wear patterns, and overall condition 
  • Perform final grading of tires according to company classification standards 
  • Identify and separate tires that are suitable for resale, repair, recycling, or scrap 
  • Measure tread depth and assess structural integrity 
  • Verify tire information such as size, brand, DOT, and specifications 
  • Maintain accuracy in labeling, tagging, and inventory systems 
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality control guidelines 
  • Work closely with warehouse and production teams to meet daily output targets 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area 
  • Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or quality discrepancies to management

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred 
  • Previous experience in tire inspection, automotive, warehouse, or manufacturing environments is a plus 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to make consistent quality judgments 
  • Basic understanding of tire construction and wear patterns (preferred) 
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (standing, lifting, bending) 
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly 
  • Basic computer or inventory system experience is a plus
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in tire recycling, manufacturing, or related industries is a plus

Work Environment

  • Physically intensive role requiring standing, lifting, and continuous movement
  • Work is performed outdoors in various weather conditions
