Senior IT Engineer (Operations & Infrastructure)
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head of IT in overseeing overall IT operations (helpdesk and infrastructure), including planning, coordination, communication and follow‑up of IT initiatives and tasks.
- Coordinate IT communication and reporting, including preparation of management reports, dashboards, incident/change reports, audit/regulatory responses and internal IT announcements.
- Act as a central point for IT process alignment and governance, helping to standardize procedures, track action items and ensure adherence to group policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and maintain storage, virtualized environments, servers and network devices, ensuring stability, capacity and performance.
- Monitor IT services, applications and underlying infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance and timely incident resolution.
- Ensure data backup and recovery of IT services, including periodic testing and documentation of recovery procedures.
- Oversee data center management and support, including capacity planning and vendor coordination.
- Manage and support payment systems and related infrastructure (e.g. RTGS, SWIFT, ICLNet and other relevant payment platforms), ensuring availability, security and compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Administer and support Microsoft platforms (e.g. MS Teams, Microsoft 365 and/or Microsoft Azure), including configuration, optimization, troubleshooting and coordination with global platform owners.
- Provide infrastructure and application support for users across the APAC region, ensuring consistent service levels and effective cooperation with local, regional and Head Office IT teams.
- Interact and coordinate with Head Office, regional stakeholders, vendors and suppliers, including contract and service management where required.
- Lead and participate in IT and infrastructure projects, including planning, implementation, migration and documentation.
- Ensure proper maintenance and governance of IT documentation and processes (including payment systems, regional infrastructure, cloud services, IT procedures and guidelines).

- Education & Experience
- University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline.
- Ten years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure / operations; experience in a financial institution or regulated environment is an advantage.
- Experience working in a regional / APAC support environment is preferred.
- Technical Skills
- Solid hands-on experience with servers, storage, virtualization (e.g. VMware/Hyper‑V) and network devices.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including MS Teams, Microsoft 365 and/or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with backup and recovery solutions, data center operations and basic IT security controls.
- Exposure to payment systems (e.g. RTGS, SWIFT, ICLNet or similar) and their infrastructure, or willingness to quickly learn in this area.
- Soft Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication skills, able to prepare clear reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
- Well‑organized and detail‑oriented, with the ability to coordinate tasks across helpdesk and infrastructure teams.
- Proactive, with a hands‑on attitude and ability to work independently under the guidance of the Head of IT.
- Good stakeholder management skills, including interaction with Head Office, vendors and auditors/regulators where needed.
- Strong team player, willing to support both operational tasks and project work.
