Job Description

Are you looking to apply your regulatory expertise in a demanding, international private banking environment and make a meaningful contribution to ensuring compliant business activities? As part of our Regulatory and Investment Services Compliance team, you will advise key stakeholders on Swiss and cross-border regulatory matters. You will assume a responsible role with a particular focus on our Lugano branch, working closely with specialist units across the Bank and the Group.


  • You will support and implement regulatory projects in Swiss and European financial market law as a recognised subject-matter expert. In doing so, you will work closely with Legal, Project Management, the Front and other functions across the Bank and the Group.
  • Leveraging your Italian language skills, you will serve as the primary contact for regulatory matters relating to the Lugano branch (excluding anti-money-laundering related matters).
  • You will act as a key point of contact for Swiss and cross-border regulatory matters, in particular with regard to FinSA, MiFID and CRD VI.
  • In day-to-day business, you will handle enquiries and assessments relating to current regulatory (cross-border) topics, and develop practical, risk-based solutions.

Requirements

  • You hold a degree in Law; admission to the Swiss Bar is an advantage.
  • You have at least 5 years of professional experience in Regulatory Compliance within (Private) Banking.
  • You are fluent in Italian, German and English (written and spoken).
  • Experience with standard banking IT applications is desirable.
  • You stand out for your strong analytical skills, an independent and precise way of working, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with different stakeholders and management levels.
  • You are a team-oriented personality who embraces new challenges with commitment and is willing to occasionally travel within Switzerland, particularly to Lugano.
