Job Description
This role is responsible for managing production planning and ensuring that demand, capacity, and materials are well aligned. It involves close collaboration with purchasing, production, warehouse, and customer service to meet delivery timelines while keeping inventory levels low. There is also a strong focus on clear processes, high quality data, and continuous improvement of planning activities.
- Create, maintain, and continuously align production plans, taking into account demand, capacity, and material availability, while ensuring clear communication across all involved teams
- Lead regular planning meetings and carry out short term and long term capacity planning with a focus on utilization, bottlenecks, and priorities
- Ensure material availability through close coordination with purchasing, inventory monitoring, early risk identification, and taking action in case of shortages
- Analyze supply chain performance, inventory, and delivery reliability, including delays and excess stock, and implement improvements
- Drive and improve planning processes, including the SIOP process, and establish clear standards and documentation
- Maintain master data in ERP systems, support new products and projects, and collaborate across functions to achieve operational targets
Qualifications
- Several years of experience (5+) in supply chain planning or production planning
- Fluent English and German at a professional level (B1/B2) is required
- Strong Excel skills and confident use of ERP systems
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage
- Analytical and structured working style with a focus on problem solving
