Leidos is seeking a Security Controls Assessor Liaison to support the Assessment & Validation Division within the Office of Naval Intelligence at the Hopper Global Communications Center in Suitland, MD. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for Information Assurance (IA) and security accreditation activities, helping customers navigate the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and supporting the successful authorization of mission critical systems.

You will work closely with customers, security teams, and Regional Information System Security Managers to coordinate RMF activities, maintain accurate authorization records, and help ensure accreditation requirements are addressed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Support Accreditation and Authorization (A&A) packages throughout the authorization process.
  • Assist with Risk Management Framework (RMF) implementation and compliance activities.
  • Provide RMF subject matter support to customers through email, phone, and in person interactions.
  • Submit, track, update, and close RMF related tickets, ensuring requests are appropriately documented and addressed.
  • Maintain accurate and current RMF records within authoritative systems of record.
  • Coordinate weekly with Regional Information System Security Managers to support ongoing authorization and accreditation activities.
  • Monitor official message traffic and take appropriate action on authorization requests, trusted agent actions, and Interim Authorities to Test (IATTs).

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Information Technology, Information Assurance, or a related field desired with 5+ years of experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • 5+ years of Assessment and Authorization (A&A) experience with ICD 503 and/or the NIST Framework.
  • Experience with DoD, DISA, NNWC, DoDIIS, and IC tools, systems, reporting mechanisms, and requirements for A&A.
  • Knowledge of DoD, Intelligence Community, and national level system security initiatives and secure information, LAN, and WAN technologies.
  • Experience using web based applications such as Telos Xacta, eMASS, or similar systems that support RMF automation.
  • Experience tracking and reporting the completion of Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) deliverables associated with a system's Authority to Operate (ATO) RMF package.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Required Certifications

  • Active DoD 8140 certification, such as CGRC, CISM, or Security+ II, or the ability to obtain a certification within 30 days of an accepted offer.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
