Position Purpose: Leadec Industrial Services Inc. is a leading provider of manufacturing support services to the global automotive industry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.
  • Works safely at all times.
  • Complete tasks in accordance with standardized quality checklists
  • Continually seek out opportunities to improve onsite activities
  • Master skills associated with the versatility matrix
  • Review current best practices resulting in efficiencies relating to time, material usage, and safety
  • Live "Safety is Your Life" Program. Use proper personal protective equipment, i.e., hearing protection, steel toed shoes, safety glasses, etc., as required for the task at hand
  • Removes and replaces pedestals from line using a fork-truck.
  • Performs general maintenance/repairs on dollies and dumpsters.
  • Removes/replaces part on dollies, dumpsters, and pedestals.
  • Greases and lubes dollies and dumpsters
  • Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.
  • All other duties as assigned by Leadec manager.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Communication Skills - Ability to communicate with all levels of Leadec and customer employees.

  • Ability to read and understand written job instructions.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication of man-hours/minutes.

Position Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Previous MIG welding experience required.
  • Experience performing light fabrication, equipment repair, or general industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Forklift License
  • Welding test required prior to hire
  • Basic computer skills

Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the key actions of the job:

  • Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is high). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for 4 -12 hours. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; climb or balance; kneel, crawl, stoop, or crouch.
  • Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and focus adjustment.
  • Work is performed in an industrial-manufacturing environment with occasional time spent working on a computer or at a desk.
