LCRA Public Safety is seeking a customer service-focused Security Officer to help protect our people, property, and critical infrastructure! In this role, you will patrol facilities, inspect buildings, and ensure access points remain safe and secure through strong attention to your surroundings. How You’ll Contribute
- Perform access control & security patrols, assist internal/external visitors & emergency medical personnel, and respond to incidents at assigned LCRA facilities that include Critical Infrastructure sites.
- Assist police officers with the apprehension of suspects and other emergencies as needed. Arrest violators under limited circumstances (felonies or breaches of the peace).
- Report to respective Supervisor and document security violations, equipment failures, and other security or safety related situations.
- Assist in conducting investigations, operate electronic security equipment and at times provide field training to future Security Officer Project employees.
How You’re Qualified
- Ability to obtain and must maintain Texas Private Security Board Level III Security Officer commission
- Zero or more years of experience in security, first responder, or military.
- Driver's license
- Ability to obtain and maintain Texas Crime Information Center/National Crime Information Center (TCIC/NCIC) CJP certification
- Complete National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification
- Ability to obtain and maintain certification in Basic First Aid, AED, and CPR
- Must pass the CJIS fingerprint-based background investigation according to the State of Texas standards
- Maintain all CJIS training requirements

- Exceptional Customer Service Skills.
- Prior Critical Infrastructure Security experience.
- A valid Texas Private Security Board Level III Commission Security Officer License.
