Here's The Role

LCRA's Project Controls team is looking for a motivated Project Scheduler who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. As part of the PMO, we focus on customer service, partnering for solutions, and continuous improvement. You are a team player driven by new challenges, capable of utilizing advanced skillset across various project types and portfolios, enjoys mentoring and training team members in P6 technical usage and best practices, and ensures P6 governance. This role offers a unique opportunity to stretch your advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and project scheduling expertise to continue to advance the PMO in support of LCRA's mission, vision, and values.


How You’ll Contribute

  • Serve as PMO trainer, mentor, subject matter expert and leader in scheduling software (P6), schedule quality and analysis, resource management, project management and scheduling best practices.
  • Perform oversight of portfolio and project schedules to ensure consistency, accuracy, and trends analysis across the PMO.
  • Lead and train the PMO in developing well defined and accurately decomposed work breakdown structures, critical path methodology to effectively manage projects and drive project success.
  • Lead and train the PMO in project schedule quality, schedule health (DCMA 14-Point Assessment), measuring and tracking project progress, regular schedule maintenance, and risk mitigation.
  • Serve a P6 baseline and governance administrator.

How You’re Qualified

  • Nine or more years of experience in project controls, project management, project scheduling, business analytics, data analysis, budget analysis, or other relevant experience.
  • A degree(s) in project management, business, accounting, finance, economics, engineering, construction management, math, science, computer science, information technology or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

  • PMI-SP Certified (Project Management Institute Scheduling Professional)
  • PSP Certified (AACE International Planning & Scheduling Professional)
  • Thorough understanding and application of DCMA 14-Point Assessment
  • Demonstrates an advanced technical skillset in Primavera P6
