Maintenance Manager
About this role
POSITION SUMMARY: Manage and assist in the completion of the day-to-day activities, involving the maintenance of the building/facility, equipment and machinery including HVAC, building lighting systems, EPA, MPCA regulations and reports, CNC machines, plate product production lines, grounds keeping, security and overall facility appearance. Supervise and coordinate the work of employees who repair and maintain building/facility, equipment and machinery. This position works under the direction of the Director of Operations.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Prepare work schedules, assign work, and oversees the work product (while minimizing overtime and call-in hours).
- Coach, counsel and manage performance of direct reports.
- Develop and maintain Preventative Maintenance Schedule program for applicable equipment and machinery.
- Arrange for and manage, appropriate third-party contractor support, as needed.
- Prepare budgets and secure estimates and cost quotes as needed.
- Enforce sound safety and housekeeping practices.
- All other reasonable duties, as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Demonstrated mechanical and electrical knowledge and repair abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple complicated priorities/tasks.
- Exhibit strong judgment and decision-making skills.
- Computer literate.
- Ability to interface with all types of mechanical and construction contractors.
- Knowledgeable in all phases of construction and building maintenance.
- Successful completion of an accredited management training program a plus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school/trade school diploma required. Previous supervisory experience desirable. Requires a minimum of 6 years related experience. Certified in OSHA programs and practices. Master Electrician certification preferred, or ability to achieve in short order. Occasional lifting or moving heavy materials in difficult work positions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas were all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shops and other mandatory safety equipment.
- For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Sitting or standing as needed.
- Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
- Reaching, pushing, pulling or lifting as required within limits set by Entrans International LLC.
