Job Description:
The Senior BIOS Customer Project Engineer serves as the technical leader and primary interface between customers and internal engineering teams. This role is responsible for BIOS architecture design, platform enablement, firmware customization, customer issue resolution, and technical leadership throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Lead BIOS development and platform bring-up for Intel, AMD, or ARM-based systems.
Design, implement, and customize UEFI BIOS features to meet customer and product requirements.
Drive root cause analysis and resolution of complex firmware, hardware, and operating system issues.
Serve as the primary technical contact for OEM/ODM customers and manage technical escalations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product delivery from development through mass production.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers while promoting firmware development best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in BIOS/UEFI firmware development and platform bring-up.
Strong expertise in UEFI architecture, EDK II, and BIOS development.
Expert-level programming skills in C and extensive debugging experience in x86 and/or ARM environments.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level issues across firmware, hardware, drivers, and operating systems.
Experience supporting OEM/ODM customers and participating in customer-facing technical discussions.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced development environment..
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading technical teams and managing critical customer escalations.
Deep understanding of ACPI, PCIe, USB, SMBIOS, Secure Boot, TPM, and platform security technologies.
