Job Description:

Subcon Planner

Responsible for managing the end-to-end production planning, execution, and material control at external manufacturing partners (OSATs). This role ensures that subcontractor production schedules align with company demand, inventory targets, and customer delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production Planning & Scheduling:Translate the Master Production Schedule (MPS) into weekly/daily build plans for specific subcontractors.Monitor daily WIP (Work in Progress), cycle times, and output at subcon sites to ensure on-time delivery (OTD).
  • Capacity & Constraint Management:Review and analyze subcontractor capacity forecasts against upcoming demand.Identify and resolve capacity bottlenecks, equipment constraints, or material shortages at the vendor site.
  • Performance & Relationship Management:Track and report Subcontractor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Schedule Adherence, Cycle Time, and OTD.Participate in regular Operations Review Meetings with subcons to address performance gaps and execution issues.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: 3–5+ years of planning experience, specifically within the semiconductor or electronics manufacturing industry. Direct experience managing OSATs is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills:Strong data analytics skills (Advanced Excel, Tableau, or Power BI) to handle massive WIP data files.
  • Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of the semiconductor manufacturing lifecycle (Assembly, Bump, and Test).
