Job Description:
This role focuses on automation development and firmware validation, with an emphasis on BIOS and BMC technologies. The ideal candidate enjoys solving technical challenges, building scalable automation solutions, and improving product quality through effective test automation and validation practices. Candidates with backgrounds in software development, test automation, or quality engineering are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Apply software development expertise within existing automation frameworks and testing methodologies to develop and maintain automated test solutions using Python and Robot Framework, ensuring efficient and reliable validation activities.
- Develop automated test scripts with comprehensive test coverage, including functional, regression, and edge-case scenarios.
- Maintain and optimize automated test scripts through troubleshooting, code refactoring, and performance improvements to enhance execution stability and efficiency.
- Improve automation quality, coverage, and reliability by reducing false positives, increasing test effectiveness, and shortening validation cycles.
- Research, validate, and qualify BIOS, BMC, firmware, and platform-related features and technologies.
- Create and execute test plans and test cases for new and existing product features.
- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot test environments, lab equipment, and automation infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with developers and cross-functional teams to understand requirements, analyze issues, and improve overall product quality.
- Contribute to the enhancement of testing tools, automation frameworks, processes, and quality engineering practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience in software development, software testing, test automation, or related projects.
- Hands-on experience with Python programming and automated testing using Robot Framework or similar automation frameworks.
- Strong interest in automation testing, quality engineering, and continuous improvement.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
Preferred:
- Hands-on experience with Robot Framework and test automation infrastructure.
- Knowledge of BIOS, BMC, firmware, platform validation, or system-level testing.
- Familiarity with REST API testing, CI/CD workflows, and automated validation processes.
- Basic understanding of server platforms, firmware architecture, or system management technologies.
- Experience working with Linux environments and scripting tools is a plus.
