Job Summary:Adjunct Positions are filled by semester on an as needed basis. Applicants in this applicant pool are reviewed when the department has an immediate need to fill a vacancy. Review of applications will then stop for the semester once the vacancy has been filled. Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community. LCC policy requires all LCC employees to be residents of the State of Michigan and to perform all work (with limited exceptions) within the State of Michigan. Final candidates will be subject to a criminal background check as part of the employment process. |
Required Qualifications:Master's degree in Japanese Studies OR Master's degree in related field (e.g. linguistics, second-language acquisition, language pedagogy) with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Japanese from a regionally accredited institution. |
Preferred Qualifications:PhD in Japanese Language from a regionally accredited college or university; or, PhD in a related field and a minimum of 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) of graduate level coursework in the discipline. |
