About this role

LAB3 is one of the largest Azure engineering practices in the Australasia region with a focus on Cloud & DevOps, Data, IoT & AI, Modern Workplace, Security, and Network services.

We're looking for an Onsite Desktop Support Engineer for an initial 3-6 months contract in Sydney. In this role, you'll be the face of IT for our client, providing hands-on technical support, resolving issues quickly and ensuring users remain productive and connected.

 

The Role:

  • Provide onsite and remote support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests within agreed service levels.
  • Deliver exceptional support to end users, including VIP and executive stakeholders.
  • Configure, deploy, upgrade and decommission end-user devices.
  • Manage user accounts, access requests and identity services through Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Provision and maintain devices using Microsoft Intune and/or SCCM.
  • Support Microsoft 365 technologies
  • Troubleshoot networking and connectivity issues
  • Maintain accurate asset records and documentation.
  • Contribute to knowledge articles, process improvement initiatives and ITIL-aligned service delivery methods.

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • 2+ years' experience in  Desktop / EUC Support
  • Strong experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID administration.
  • Device management experience using Microsoft Intune
  • Practical Microsoft 365 support experience
  • Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software and peripheral issues.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and wireless networking concepts.
  • Experience working with ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management.
  • Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+ or Security+ certifications.
  • Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate or Modern Desktop Administrator.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
