Job Description:
The Integrated Vision Solutions Sector is seeking an experienced and strategic Contracts professional to manage a complex, high-value portfolio spanning both domestic and international contract activities. The ideal candidate is a self-starter capable of high-level independent work, providing expert guidance across the full contract lifecycle for DoD, Commercial, CAS-covered, and International Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) contracts.
Essential Functions:
- Manage a complex and strategic portfolio of domestic and international contracts, providing business, contractual, and risk mitigation guidance from contract inception through close-out across DoD, Commercial, CAS-covered, and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) programs.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in both US Government acquisition regulations and international contracting.
- Lead and support cross-functional proposal and negotiation teams in the pursuit of major domestic and international contracts, including bid/no-bid recommendations, deal structuring, and risk assessments.
- Provide contractual support to business-critical areas including the development and advancement of commercial and programmatic strategies, operational decision-making, proposal risk analysis, and negotiation oversight.
- Review and assess the contractual, financial, and business aspects of proposals, contracts, agreements, and operational initiatives, including analysis of proposed business terms, pricing positions, costs, risks, and opportunities.
- Draft, negotiate, review, and approve a wide variety of agreements including Teaming Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Licensing Agreements, and other business and legal documents.
- Coordinate with Trade Compliance and Export/Import teams to ensure adherence to ITAR, EAR, and other applicable regulations across international pursuits.
- Partner with key functional areas including Finance, Programs, Legal, Engineering, Sales, and Export Control on new and continuing programs to ensure desired objectives and outcomes are achieved.
- Work in partnership with legal counsel to provide recommendations from a Contracts perspective on intellectual property interests, disputes, claims, protests, and lawsuits.
- Analyze new laws, regulations, and contract trends — both domestic and international — for potential impact on business goals and objectives.
- Represent the company in exchanges with senior customer leaders domestically and internationally, and regularly brief business leadership on contractual strategy, risk, and status.
- Ability to obtain US Security Clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a passport and satisfy international travel requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience in Contracts. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
- Working experience with FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 15 acquisitions
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active Security Clearance.
- Demonstrated experience in Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contracting
- Understanding of cost and price estimating concepts and Intellectual Property principles.
- Excellent written, verbal, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead within a cross-functional team environment.
