Position Summary
As a Therapist, you will serve as a vital member of a multidisciplinary treatment team. You will work directly with clients, families, and community partners, including the Department of Health and Human Services, to provide high-quality clinical services. Your role involves implementing therapy plans, monitoring progress, and adjusting clinical approaches to meet the specific needs of children and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical treatment and feedback as a core member of a treatment team.

  • Implement evidence-based practices (EBPs) for presenting problems and document their use effectively.

  • Utilize knowledge of child development, parenting skills, and trauma to provide sensitive, culturally relevant services.

  • Manage de-escalation techniques and support families in crisis.

  • Participate in court hearings, consultations, and staff meetings.

  • Meet all performance expectations, including contract requirements, regulatory standards, and timely documentation.

  • Engage in continuous professional development through agency-led learning and peer review sessions.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: A Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a social service-related field.

  • Licensure: Within a 2-year period of employment, must be licensed by the West Virginia Board of Social Work Examiners (or an equivalent board).

  • Compliance: Ability to maintain all CEU requirements and licensure standards.
