Job Description – Associate Director / Sr. Engineering Manager
Overview
Engineering Manager responsible for end-to-end delivery of digital products and services within the Tax & Legal domain, ensuring alignment with business value, regulatory standards, and enterprise engineering practices. Operates within an MDT model partnering with Product, Architecture, and Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Own delivery of product portfolio (scope, backlog, roadmap, outcomes)
- Drive engineering execution across Agile, DevOps, and SRE models
- Partner with Product Managers (value) and Architects (design) for scalable solutions
- Ensure quality, reliability, and resilience (SLOs, DR, automation, observability)
- Manage dependencies, risks, and technical debt across value streams
- Govern compliance with NQRM / NITSO and SDLC standards
- Track and optimize delivery performance (DORA, Flow metrics)
- Lead financials including budget, cost optimization (FinOps), and vendor management
- Build, coach, and scale high-performing engineering teams
- Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and engineering best practices
- Communicate portfolio health, risks, and outcomes to senior stakeholders
Skills & Experience
Core
- Engineering leadership in large-scale enterprise environments
- Strong stakeholder, risk, and dependency management
- Experience in regulated domains (Tax/Legal/Financial Services preferred)
Technology & Engineering
- Cloud: Azure (preferred), cloud-native architecture, cost optimization (FinOps)
- Platforms:
- .NET / .NET Core (enterprise application development)
- Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
- DevOps & SRE: CI/CD, automation, observability, resilience engineering
- Quality Engineering: Automated testing (functional & non-functional)
Delivery & Governance
- Agile / DevOps at scale
- Engineering metrics (DORA, Flow)
- Risk, compliance, and technical debt management
Leadership
- Team building, coaching, and performance management
