Our Corporate Finance – Mergers & Acquisitions team is seeking future interns ready to join in 2027 for the following periods:

  • Winter 2027 (January to April 2027)
  • Summer 2027 (May to August 2027)
  • Fall 2027 (September to December 2027)

What you will do

As a Corporate Finance intern, you will have the opportunity to gain extensive experience in transactional advisory services by contributing to the day-to-day execution of our advisory engagements in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and capital markets.

 

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Help draft transaction documentation (service proposals, transaction opportunity summaries, and confidential information memorandums).
  • Prepare integrated financial models to support major transaction decision-making.
  • Participate in the identification and outreach to acquisition targets, potential buyers, or investors.
  • Communicate directly with various parties (clients, other advisors, and counterparties, etc.).
  • Proactively contribute to business development and deal origination.
  • Provide information on analyses and market studies (public company valuation multiples, sector research, etc.).

What you bring to the role

We are looking for passionate candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Strong undergraduate or graduate academic record, preferably in the following fields: Business/Administration with a finance or accounting focus, or related disciplines.
  • Strong record of extracurricular involvement (case competitions, student associations, collective initiatives, etc.).
  • Technical finance skills, including understanding of financial statements and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Capital IQ, and PitchBook.
  • Ability to work well in a team and build relationships.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate initiative and judgment, as well as to analyze and solve problems.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities.
  • Strong ability to build relationships with clients, colleagues, and community members.
  • Willingness to learn continuously, acquire new skills, take on new responsibilities, and conduct research to broaden your knowledge.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Relevant professional experience through which you have gained knowledge of our key industry sectors (an asset).

This role requires verbal and written communication skills, in both French and English. English and French are required because there will be daily communications with stake holders that speak English or French, within and outside of Quebec which requires excellent skills in both written and spoken form. The candidate will be mandated to create documentation in both languages regularly.
