Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate State Registered Nurse to join our Maternity Ward and Special Care Nursery team. This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to mothers and newborns, ensuring their well-being and a positive experience throughout their hospital stay.

Job Responsibilities


Provide comprehensive nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum mothers, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
Monitor and support laboring mothers, interpreting fetal monitoring strips and administering medications as prescribed.
Assist with deliveries and provide immediate postpartum care to mothers and newborns.
Provide specialized nursing care to neonates in the Special Care Nursery, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, managing incubators, and assisting with feeding and hygiene.
Educate new mothers on infant care, breastfeeding, postpartum recovery, and discharge instructions.
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation.
Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Respond to emergency situations promptly and effectively.
Participate in continuous professional development and training.

Job Qualifications**

Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the relevant nursing board.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Maternity Ward or Special Care Nursery setting.
Possession of a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of obstetrics, neonatology, and maternal-child health principles.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
