Purchasing Coordinator

About this role

We are looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join our Purchase Order Management team within the Global Spares Supply unit. The role ensures efficient execution of stock material purchase orders, good data quality, and timely material and service supply.

This is a fixed-term position, starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor purchase requisitions and create purchase orders (PO) with preferred or approved suppliers.

  • Generate manual POs based on requests received from cross-functional teams, ensuring proper approvals are in place.

  • Oversee the monitoring of purchase orders and confirm order statuses with suppliers. Resolve any deviations or discrepancies.

  • Update order confirmation data in SAP.

  • Handle IDOC errors related to integrated supplier order confirmations.

  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely material delivery to DCs, FLs, or other designated locations.

  • Assist suppliers with transportation arrangements as needed.

  • Manage incoming emails from suppliers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams in the shared mailbox.

  • Collect and inform the planning team of suppliers’ holiday schedules for better planning.

  • Coordinate with the planning team to send forecasts to suppliers.

  • Maintain up-to-date supplier contact information in the system.

  • Monitor and address exceptions and follow up on daily issues.

  • Actively participate in process improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with KONE policies and procedures, particularly the PO policy.

  • Adhere to quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Requirements for the candidates:

  • Proven experience in supply chain processes

  • Proficiency in SAP MM Module

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI), Salesforce and PDM

  • Fluent in English

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferably in Supply Chain or related field).
