Civil Inspector

CIVIL INSPECTOR 

Job Summary:

KN International is seeking a Civil Inspector for a pumping station project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves monitoring and inspecting civil construction works including excavation, structural concrete works, underground structures, and finishing works to ensure compliance with approved drawings and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections of civil works including excavation, shoring, foundations, wet wells, dry wells, and concrete structures.
  
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and authority standards.
  
• Review and respond to Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by contractors.
  
• Monitor construction activities for quality, safety, and compliance.
  
• Verify materials, reinforcement, concrete works, and workmanship.
  
• Maintain inspection records, daily reports, and non-conformance reports.
  
• Identify site defects and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  
• Review method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals.
  
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on progress and issues.
  
• Coordinate with mechanical and electrical teams for interface works.
  

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pumping station or underground infrastructure projects.
  
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete works and underground structures.
  
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards and authority requirements.
  
• Experience in inspection and QA/QC documentation.
  
• Strong attention to detail and reporting skills.
