Job Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist plays a critical role in managing the inventory control system according to established policies and procedures. This position ensures acceptable inventory levels through various tasks and responsibilities, including reviewing system reports, monitoring data accuracy, participating in physical inventories, and assisting with sales and customer inquiries.
Job Responsibilities

System Report Review: Analyze and monitor system reports to determine necessary materials management actions such as ordering or liquidating materials

Data Accuracy Supervision: Oversee and verify system data input to ensure the accuracy of inventory reports and prevent discrepancies

Inventory Reconciliation: Participate in physical inventories and reconcile various reports, including daily billing registers, gross margin exceptions, and negative inventory reports. Address and correct errors to maintain inventory accuracy

Sales Support: Provide inventory information to the sales team for effective sales planning and customer delivery coordination

Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to material receipt and inventory adjustment transactions

CERTS Management: Manage records for "CERTS" (physical and mechanical content of material) for both internal and external locations. Contact mills for missing CERTS and provide CERTS to customers as needed

Purchase Order Management: Oversee and maintain Purchase Order files to ensure proper documentation and tracking

Tracking and Reporting: Monitor and track outside processing scrap and inventory that exceeds 60 days to ensure timely management and resolution
Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of one year of inventory control experience is required

Organizational Skills: Ability to manage and organize multiple tasks and responsibilities efficiently

Decision Making: Strong decision-making skills to handle inventory management and problem-solving tasks effectively
- Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility
- Reliability: Demonstrated reliable work history
- Attention to Detail: Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all inspection tasks
