Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager (QCM) to oversee all quality assurance and control activities across our projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive quality control plan to ensure all work performed by our team and subcontractors meets or exceeds contract specifications, safety standards, and industry benchmarks. This is a critical leadership role focused on maintaining the highest level of quality and integrity in all our operations.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Program Management: Develop, implement, and maintain a robust quality control program in accordance with all contract requirements and industry standards.
Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular inspections and audits of all project work, including materials, workmanship, and final products, to identify and correct deficiencies.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of all quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and corrective action plans. Prepare and present detailed quality reports to management and clients.
Technical Guidance: Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams to ensure proper procedures and quality standards are followed throughout every phase of a project.
Compliance: Ensure all work is compliant with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company safety policies.
Subcontractor Oversight: Monitor the performance of subcontractors to ensure their work meets quality standards and contractual obligations.

Desired Qualifications

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is highly preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in construction or facilities maintenance, with at least 5 years in a dedicated quality control or quality assurance management role.
Technical Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of quality control principles, methods, and tools. Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical specifications, and contracts.
Leadership: Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills. The ability to manage a team, enforce standards, and solve problems proactively.
Certification: A valid driver's license is required. Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or other relevant quality management certifications are highly valued.

Physical Requirements

Primarily an office-based role but requires frequent visits to job sites.
Must be able to walk, stand, and climb for extended periods in various indoor and outdoor conditions.
Requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
