Job Summary
The IT&S Analyst plays a key role in identifying opportunities for improvement within the organization's IT systems and workflows. This position is responsible for gathering and interpreting data, performing system testing, supporting end users, and assisting with implementation of technology solutions. The analyst collaborates with internal stakeholders and IT teams to ensure systems meet business needs and compliance standards.
Essential Functions
- Analyzes IT and business workflows to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Gathers and documents requirements from stakeholders to support system changes and enhancements.
- Performs data analysis and reporting to support operational and strategic initiatives.
- Participates in testing, validation, and implementation of new systems or updates to existing systems.
- Serves as a liaison between clinical/administrative departments and IT teams.
- Assists in troubleshooting application and system issues, escalating as needed.
- Supports end users by providing guidance, training, and documentation.
- Collaborates on project planning, tracking, and execution to ensure timely completion and alignment with goals.
- Stays informed on healthcare IT trends, tools, and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant data analysis tools.
- Working knowledge of EMR/EHR and healthcare applications (Preferred).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
- Familiarity with process mapping, change management, and compliance standards.
Education
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (Required).
- Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
Licenses/Certifications
- None required
- ITIL, CompTIA, or other relevant certifications (Preferred)
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an IT, systems analysis, or business analyst role (Required).
- Healthcare information systems experience (Preferred)
