Benefits: Seasonal position eligible for a season pass for employee/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available
Commitment Levels
Full-time
Minimum 90 days throughout the season. Available 5 days a week starting between 11/27/25 – 12/6/25 and ending between 4/5/26 - 4/12/26. 5-6 day work schedule. Two paid training days required for rehires, four for new hires (in addition to 90-day commitment).
Part-time
Minimum of 24 days worked per season. Includes: 4 mandatory workdays, 16 peak days minimum, and mix of peak/standard days. Two paid training days for rehires, four for new hires (in addition to 24-day commitment).
Job Summary
Share your passion for skiing/riding and the mountain environment with others. The Killington Mountain Sports and Pico Snow Sports Schools have positions open at all levels. We are looking for instructors to join our team! We have full-time and part-time instructor candidates with or without previous experience. Join us as we inspire the next generation of snow sports enthusiasts.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Work together with Mountains Sports supervisors and team leads to organize classes and students according to individual student goals and abilities
Teach and demonstrate skiing/riding to classes of all abilities in a safe environment using a variety of teaching and ski/ride techniques
Demonstrate specific skiing/riding maneuvers, including loading and unloading lifts
Provide exceptional guest service while maintaining safety as a priority at all times
Work collaboratively with fellow staff and independently with groups or individual students
Work in a variety of support roles and be willing to perform duties occasionally in other departments, such as rentals or lifts, as needed
Perform other tasks as assigned
Killington/Pico Snow Sports School is committed to the highest level of instructor and professional growth. Season-long training is provided in the following areas:
In-house clinics for professional and personal development
PSIA & AASI certification prep clinics
Cross-discipline training
QualificationsBasic Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years of age
Must be able to ski/ride at an intermediate level or above
Must be willing to work with all ages including children ages 4 and up
Ability to ski/snowboard, demonstrating maneuvers to students throughout the duration of a lesson for up to 6.5 hours per day required
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Required Knowledge and Skills
Passion for sharing the mountain experience
Strong communication as well as interpersonal skills
Experience working with children is preferred but not required
Outdoor related experience preferred but not required
