Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welding Inspector to join our team, specializing in construction projects across the United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding inspection, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

District Overview

TIC Power (TICP) is a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation that provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation utilizing a non-union craft force. Strength in estimating and pre-project planning. Constructing cogeneration, combined-cycle, geothermal and waste-to-energy generation and resource facilities. TIC Power builds major EPC power plant projects throughout North America.

Location

This position is a traveling position.  Candidates will need to be open to traveling to different projects across the US.  Per Diem and travel home will be a part of the total offer package.

Responsibilities

•    Conduct thorough inspections of welding work on construction sites to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
•    Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure proper welding procedures are followed.
•    Perform visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) to assess the quality and integrity of welds.
•    Document inspection results, prepare detailed reports, and communicate findings to project managers and other stakeholders.
•    Ensure all welding activities comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
•    Collaborate with construction teams to address and resolve any welding-related issues or discrepancies.
•    Provide guidance and training to welding personnel to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
•    Travel to various job sites across the United States as required.

 

Qualifications

•    Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding inspection, preferably on electrical or civil or mechanical or concrete construction projects.
•    Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is required.
•    Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field is preferred.
•    Strong knowledge of welding codes, standards, and inspection techniques.
•    Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•    Willingness to travel extensively to job sites across the United States.
