Job Summary

This Habit, home-based/geographical flexible position is a member of the construction team and reports to the Sr.  Construction Manager.  This position has a high level of ownership, responsibility, and authority, requiring both strategic and tactical skills. Construction Manager plans, coordinates, and supervises construction projects from development to completion. Accountable for delivering assigned projects on schedule, within budget and in compliance with brand standards. 

Essential Job Functions 

•    Prepare and negotiate cost estimates, and work timetables 
•    Select appropriate construction methods and strategies 
•    Report on work progress and budget matters  
•    Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction building specialists 
•    Instruct and supervise construction personnel, vendors, consultants and activities 
•    Comply with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations 
•    Schedule critical site visits for future, upcoming, active and completed projects 
•    Review all plans prior to bid & construction to identify errors or needed updates 
•    Perform detailed take-off of materials estimates from plans (tile, lighting & fixture counts, RTU’s, etc.) 
•    Review shop drawings and submittals 
•    Perform and complete the punch list process for related projects 
•    Manage turnover to Operations/Facilities process 
•    Follow brand standards and Company procedures
•    Liaison to franchisees throughout development projects

Skills and Knowledge Requirements

  •    5 years Construction Experience including working with Franchisees 
    •    Must have QSR background 
    •    Project Manager responsibilities or similar in related construction industry, restaurant construction preferred 
    •    Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications and project budgets 
    •    Proficiency with construction scheduling and project management software
    •    Ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
    •    Ability to communicate with multiple trades and disciplines 
    •    2 year college degree preferred 
    •    Experience working cross functionally to support operations, facilities, and other departments. 
    •    Weekly Travel required (multi-state & international)
    •    Experience working in a Franchise organization, preferred

Location: Any state except California. Candidate must live outside California.

Salary Range: ­­$99,200 to $132,000 annually + bonus eligibility + benefits
