Role Overview
Join a high-performance team driving cutting-edge measurement devices in the domain of high-speed digital and optical from prototypes to mature production. Take ownership to implement adjustment- and verification-routines for these instruments. It starts in strong collaboration with R&D during the development phase by characterizing key components and defining the test strategy for these instruments and leads to a stable production test software solution implemented in C#, based on our own test software platform.
This role is critical to support R&D and the manufacturing team for efficient new product introduction by creating best-in-class test processes for new measurement devices, identifying and applying new technologies and processes and providing automatized test solutions on the way to ensure stable production of high-end measurement devices meeting the requirements and expectations of customers.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Implementation of procedures to adjust and verify the performance of high-end measurement devices applying knowledge and experience with RF/Optical measurements. This includes defining and implementing test setups/stations, concepts, test procedures.
- Test Software Implementation: Automation of test procedures in an in-house, C# based test platform environment.
- Support R&D in design for testability
- Support R&D in automatized characterization of key components and early prototypes
- Validation of verification and adjustments procedures.
- Technical Expertise: Give advice to management on strategies regarding RF/Optical metrology.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure implementation of test processes is suitable for a production environment.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for the test procedures.
- Communication: Interface and collaboration with international teams in R&D, manufacturing.
Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications
Electrical Engineering Skills
Solid, preferably advanced knowledge in multiple of the following topics.
- Analog RF
- Communication Systems
- Signal Processing
- Optical Communication
- RF Time Domain Measurements
- RF Frequency Domain Measurements
- Optical Measurements
- Analog Circuits
It is expected to work hands-on with prototypes and measurement setups.
Software Skills
- Feel comfortable in implementing test procedures in an in-house, C# based test platform environment.
- Experience in data analysis using for example Excel, Matlab, or appropriate software libraries.
Soft Skills
- Willingness to take ownership.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Being a team player who can interact in cross-functional team.
- Ability to self-organize projects and tasks while keeping deadlines.
- Differentiate between cause and effect to identify root causes.
- Courage to improve upon the status quo.
- Willingness and capability to extend knowledge and expertise in the field of RF and optical metrology and related topics, as well as in software development.

Educational Requirements
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, or a related field.
