Job DetailsJob Location: Green Bay Plant - Green Bay, WI 54303Position Type: Full TimeThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep of the Green Bay facility and mechanical and electrical systems. The Maintenance Technician is expected to perform emergency repairs, preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair general electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical equipment with minimal downtime.
Role and Responsibilities
Responsible for performing troubleshooting, repair work and preventative maintenance on all production machinery, equipment and instrumentation to sustain plant operations at highly efficient levels. Equipment includes mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and fluid handling systems.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic prints and diagrams and ladder logic programs.
Proficient in using hand, power, shop, and diagnostic tools.
Ability to coordinate multiple jobs effectively, and to handle detailed and broad range projects.
Ability to meet deadlines and be detail oriented.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and to work flexible hours.
Ability to communicate effectively (read, write, comprehension) and follow complicated verbal and/or written instructions.
Install and modify production equipment and machinery.
Document project activities and prepare appropriate operating standards and/or maintenance procedures for all equipment and processes.
Complete documentation process for machinery usage, equipment maintenance.
Maintain cleanliness of maintenance equipment shop.
PC literate, email, and calendar outlook use.
Skilled in electrical power/control, mechanical and fluid handling systems.
Knowledge of production line packaging and filling equipment.
Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices as stated within the policy.
Follows all Safety rules & procedures by working safely and ensuring safety of others.
Follow all food safety procedures.
Follows all environmental protocols as applicable.
Follows all sanitation procedures and work instructions.
Any additional duties as assigned.
QualificationsQualifications and Experience
Associate degree or higher in electro-mechanical technology or similar
High school diploma or GED certificate.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in packaging and process equipment line maintenance of machinery in food or beverage manufacturing facility.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Work is performed in a plant environment. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours equaling 40 hours per week. The work environment involves high cold/hot temperatures, some exposure to hazards or physical risks which require safety precautions.

Lifting Requirement
☐ Sedentary Work
Lifting 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying articles as dockets, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and other sedentary criteria are met.

Lifting 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job is in this category when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree or when it involves sitting most of the time with a degree of pushing and pulling of arm and/ or leg controls.
☒ Medium Work
Lifting of 75 pounds maximum with the frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
☐ Very Heavy Work (intermittent)
Lifting objects 100 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing 50 pounds or more. Team lift is required for objects weighing over 50 pounds.
Protective Equipment: Employees must wear personal protective equipment as required by position.
