JOB DESCRIPTION

The intern will be responsible in the following: '- Assist in the timely closing of accounts and preparation of consolidation schedules - Assist to prepare financial schedules, statutory accounts and ensuring quality of accounts - Prepare month-end journals in accordance with established processes, work procedures and local legal and statutory requirements - Perform reconciliation of monthly audit schedules, inter-company and bank transactions - Assist in preparing reports for operational performance /control compliance review" - Assist in process review, process improvement initiatives, assessing and developing automation solutions. - Support on going system implementation or process transformation projects Learning Outcomes: '-Understand the closing process of accounts and how it contributes to group reporting -Understand the preparation of reporting packages/financial statements -Understande analysis used by finance to monitor performance/control compliance -Exposure to finance operations across different tracks -Hands-on experience in process optimisation and finance transformation initiatives -Practical exposure to automation tools and digital solutions in a finance environment -Understanding of internal controls, audit considerations, and standardisation in large-scale operationsJOB REQUIREMENTS
- Undergraduate in Accounting, Finance, Business, Data Analytics or related disciplines - Basic understanding of accounting concepts and financial processes (e.g. AP, AR, GL, closing cycle) - Proficient in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, use of formulas) - Good analytical skills with ability to interpret data and identify trends/issues - Exposure to data tools or systems (e.g. Power BI, SAP, or equivalent) is an advantage - Demonstrates interest in process improvement, standardisation, or operational efficiency - Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional stakeholdersBUSINESS SEGMENT
