Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA/QC Engineer – Civil to join the project team for the Qiddiya Training Academy project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and implementing quality assurance and quality control procedures for civil and structural works, ensuring that construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.

 

The role requires strong experience in large-scale building and/or infrastructure projects, with the ability to manage QA/QC activities, coordinate with contractors and consultants, and ensure that all works are delivered to the required quality standards.

  • Implement and monitor the project Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan and related procedures.
  • Review and ensure compliance of civil and structural works with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and inspection and test plans (ITPs).
  • Review material submittals, method statements, inspection requests, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct inspections of civil works and ensure compliance with approved construction documents and project specifications.
  • Monitor concrete works, structural works, finishes, waterproofing, earthworks, roads, and other civil activities as applicable.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other disciplines to identify and resolve quality-related issues.
  • Raise, monitor, and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and observations.
  • Review and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure that all required inspections and testing are completed and properly documented.
  • Review laboratory and material testing results and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate QA/QC records, inspection reports, test results, and quality documentation.
  • Participate in quality meetings, site inspections, audits, and progress meetings.
  • Monitor the implementation of approved method statements and ITPs on site.
  • Assist in identifying potential quality risks and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Ensure that completed works are properly documented and support the preparation and review of as-built documentation.
  • Promote a strong quality culture across the project and ensure compliance with applicable Saudi standards and project requirements.

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 10+ years of relevant experience partnered with Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering.

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10–12 years of relevant QA/QC experience, preferably on large-scale building, infrastructure, or mixed-use developments.
  • Strong experience in civil and structural construction works.
  • Previous experience working in a consultant, PMC, or supervision role is highly preferred.
  • Experience with major projects in Saudi Arabia/GCC is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, method statements, NCRs, inspections, and testing requirements.
  • Good knowledge of relevant international standards, Saudi Building Code, project specifications, and construction quality requirements.
  • Strong understanding of concrete, structural, architectural, earthworks, and other civil construction activities.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple quality-related activities in a fast-paced project environment.
