Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect Engineer to join the project team for the Qiddiya Training Academy project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing architectural works and ensuring that construction is carried out in accordance with approved designs, drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
The role will involve close coordination with the contractor, consultant, and other engineering disciplines to ensure the successful delivery of architectural works throughout the project.
- Supervise and monitor architectural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Review architectural shop drawings, material submittals, samples, method statements, and technical submissions.
- Coordinate architectural works with structural, MEP, landscape, interior design, and other disciplines.
- Conduct regular site inspections and monitor the quality and progress of architectural works.
- Review and respond to RFIs, technical queries, and architectural-related issues.
- Identify design and construction issues and coordinate with the relevant stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure that materials, finishes, and workmanship comply with approved specifications and quality standards.
- Review mock-ups, samples, and finishes and ensure they meet the approved design intent.
- Monitor contractor compliance with approved architectural details and construction methodologies.
- Participate in technical and coordination meetings with the contractor, consultant, and project team.
- Review architectural drawings and documentation and ensure proper coordination between design and site requirements.
- Monitor architectural works against the project programme and highlight potential delays or issues.
- Review as-built drawings and ensure that architectural documentation is properly maintained and updated.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the project team on architectural matters.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Saudi Building Code, regulations, standards, and project specifications.
Qualifications
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 10+ years of relevant experience partnered with Bachelor Degree.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering is mandatory.
- Minimum 12–15 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong experience in large-scale building, mixed-use, hospitality, sports, training, education, or similar complex developments.
- Experience in architectural site supervision and construction management.
- Previous experience working with a consultant, PMC, or supervision consultant is highly preferred.
- Saudi Arabia or GCC project experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of architectural construction, materials, finishes, detailing, and coordination.
- Good understanding of structural and MEP coordination within building projects.
- Familiarity with relevant Saudi codes, standards, and authority requirements.
- Strong knowledge of reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary project environment.
