Title: Transition Age Youth Coordinator
Company/Location: Kentucky River Community Care/Perry, Letcher, Knott Sapling Centers
Employment type: Regular Full-Time
Credentials Required: High School diploma/GED. One year, full-time work experience with youth. Associate or Bachelor's degree in approved Human Services field (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, etc.) is preferred.
Special Skills/knowledge: Have knowledge of community and the skills to develop and maintain positive relationships with community partners. Public speaking skills. Outgoing personality and team player. Active and clean driver's license.
Primary Functions:
- Work to increase Sapling Center attendance
- Educate the community and transition age youth about Sapling, IPS, and YHDP resources and services through social media, school visits, and other outreach.
- Attend required zoom meetings with the State and receive Court referrals.
- Collaborate with Site Manager and YHDP Director.
Shift/Days and Work Hours: Monday - Thursday 10am - 8pm or Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm (some evening and weekend work time required).
