Overview
The Director, Child and Family Support Center is responsible for the design and operation of clinical, administrative, training and research activities within the Child and Family Support Center.
Responsibilities
1. Establishes scope of services within an interdisciplinary context and provides oversight to ensure quality and effectiveness of interdisciplinary clinical program. 2. Oversees department, recruitment, hiring, retention, supervision, training and competency development. 3. Works in collaboration with Clinical Directors to ensure staff licensure, program consistency and program development.4. Interfaces with the Baltimore City Health Department as a contracted provider of Baltimore City Infants and Toddlers services.5. Assures program development to meet the needs of patient population and/or the organization.6. Prepares and monitors annual budget and policies and procedures related to the Center.7. Ensures all Center staff are compliant with regulatory functions including The Joint Commission, and departmental Performance Evaluation/Performance Improvement. 8. Serves as an advocate and liaison for the Child and Family Support Center with Senior Management Team.9. Participates in and/or leads appropriate Institute and external meetings/committees10. Monitors and maintains condition of facilities and equipment in a manner that promotes efficiency, health, comfort, and safety.11. Promotes and participates in both discipline and interdisciplinary research both as an individual and as a department.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:• Master’s degree in a rehabilitation or related clinical field required. • Doctoral degree in rehabilitation or related clinical preferred.
EXPERIENCE:• Five years as a licensed professional in a rehabilitation related field is required with 3 years’ experience in each of the following areas:o Direct clinical serviceo Supervisiono Trainingo Administration
