SUMMARY OF POSITION

 

The Logistics Clerk is responsible for receiving and shipping – system and physical/manual of all products, delivered and shipped to/from KS. The incumbent is responsible to ensure all daily receiving and shipping is fully completed. The incumbent will assist other logistics clerks when necessary. Efficient and consistent work flow is critical in order to move products through the warehouse and increase inventory returns. The incumbent should be able to work under minimal guidance and supervision in a team environment.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Receive/ship all incoming/outgoing items including repairs, demo & convention equipment and office supplies according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure receiving/shipping area runs smoothly and in a timely manner on a daily basis (critical to providing both internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Shipping: Coordinate, pack and ship all products from KS to customers, conventions, labs, courses and Account Executives.
  • Ensure all FedEx boxes and paperwork is well stocked as well as supplies, boxes and packaging materials to ship product in a timely manner.
  • Prepare customs paperwork for international shipments, inbound and outbound.
  • Ensure product is picked, orders are created and inform Account Executives that requests have been completed.
  • Complete and maintain an accurate log of receipts and other pertinent paperwork.
  • Meet tight deadlines and work well under time constraints.
  • Photocopy documents for outside and inside customers.
  • Inspect, clean or sterilize all equipment to meet company quality standards.
  • Receive into SAP and place inspected equipment back on shelve on a daily basis to eliminate backlog.
  • Ensure Quality System requirements, including processes and documentation are followed at all times.
  • Provide back-up support to other warehouse functions as necessary in a team environment.
  • A moderate amount of physical effort is required, standing, walking and carrying for part of the day, moving product throughout the warehouse. May have to lift up to 50 lbs. at times.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts ranging between the hours of 8AM and 6PM.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • High School diploma.
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and processes.
  • Experience in warehouse environment, minimum 2 years experienced. 
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Experience with SAP system highly desirable.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and timelines of record keeping is a must.
  • Ability to communicate with internal & external customers, verbal & written.
  • Works under minimal guidance and supervision.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong work ethics and be able to work in a team environment.
