Job Description
Join our Cloud & Connectivity team as an IT Cloud Engineer and play a key role in building and operating our Azure-based cloud hosting platform while supporting secure, reliable connectivity across our global operations. You'll drive our progressive migration from private cloud to Microsoft Azure, operate hybrid environments, and collaborate with internal teams and external providers to ensure seamless cloud, network, and connectivity services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Platform & Azure Migration – Design, implement, and optimize Azure-first cloud hosting architecture; operate hybrid environments during the private cloud-to-Azure transition; support workload migration (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS); implement Infrastructure as Code using ARM/Bicep and Terraform; ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.
- Enterprise Connectivity & Network Services – Support technical operations of connectivity services across offices, plants, and construction sites; integrate Azure networking (VNets, ExpressRoute, VPN) with on-premises networks; coordinate with external ISPs on technical requirements, service quality, and SLA adherence.
- Identity, Security & Operations– Operate and improve identity and access management across hybrid and cloud environments using Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID; implement Zero Trust security principles; provide troubleshooting support for cloud, network, and connectivity issues; maintain SQL Server and Azure SQL environments.
- Cloud Architecture & Governance– Apply and contribute to cloud architecture standards, patterns, and guardrails; ensure compliance with security, networking, identity, and governance best practices; monitor and optimize cloud performance and capacity.
- Team Collaboration & Operational Excellence– Act as a reliable technical contributor within the Cloud & Connectivity team; share knowledge with junior engineers; communicate effectively with stakeholders and service providers; maintain clear documentation of architectures and operational procedures; contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience; 3–5 years in enterprise infrastructure and cloud engineering with hands-on Azure-based hosting and hybrid cloud migration experience
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, security, governance), Infrastructure as Code (ARM/Bicep, Terraform), PowerShell automation, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and enterprise networking (VPN, DNS, routing, firewalls)
- Demonstrated expertise in disaster recovery, high-availability solutions, Windows Server, SQL Server administration, and monitoring tooling
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills with proven ability to collaborate with internal teams and external service providers; security and quality awareness; excellent stakeholder management
- Language: fluent in English
