Engineering Manager
About this role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager with 7-15 years of experience to lead one of our core product engineering teams. We need a hands-on, product-minded technical leader who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and is passionate about mentoring engineers. You will be a force multiplier for your team, setting clear technical direction, contributing directly to design and code, and fostering a culture of ownership and excellence as we modernize software for local governments.
What will you be doing?
Lead, manage, and mentor a team of 3-7 software engineers, supporting their career growth and development.
Partner with product and other functional teams to define and execute on the technical roadmap for core products.
Remain hands-on, spending 20-30% of your time on coding, code reviews, and architectural design.
Guide critical architectural decisions to ensure systems are scalable, performant, and maintainable.
Champion high standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and overall engineering excellence.
