Jurong Port’s multipurpose port operating expertise includes efficient handling of general, bulk and containerized cargo, management and operations of the Tuas Offshore Marine Centre, and Lighter Terminals in Penjuru and Marina South. Besides Singapore, Jurong Port is involved in overseas joint ventures in China and Indonesia. In 2016, Jurong Port’s local and overseas terminals handled close to 35 million tons of general and bulk cargo, and 560,000 TEUs of container cargo.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve vessel profile submissions via Modernised JP-Online.
  • Process berth applications accurately and update relevant details.
  • Assign cargo-client codes, cargo modes, storage, and crane allocations as needed.
  • Maintain vessel records and ensure data accuracy in the JP vessel master database.
  • Ensure timely conversion of Cement Vessel Reservation System (CVRS) bookings to berth applications.
  • Update the Berth Application and Planning System with any changes.
  • Respond promptly to emails to support efficient vessel scheduling, cargo handling, and crane allocation.
  • Work with agents and WSH to ensure adherence to MPA's Dangerous Goods (DG) limits.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma in Maritime, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the port or related industry.
  • Able to perform 12-hour shift work
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to work independently and handle customer needs professionally
  • Knowledge of port operations and procedures is an advantage.
  • Strong team player with good communication skills.
  • Basic writing skills.
