Vice President- Investment Performance, Analytics and Transformation

About this role

As a Performance, Analytics and Transformation Vice President within the IIS Operations Team, you work to enhance and optimize the way performance solutions and products are delivered to customers. As a key member of the team, you create solutions and efficiencies that enable successful implementations in an expedient and organized way. You will take charge of the swift onboarding of asset owner and asset manager clients from an internal legacy platform to a vendor solution. Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders in client operations, product technology, and product management across global operating sites will be a significant part of your role.

 

Job responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end product delivery processes including intake, dependency management, release management, product operationalization, delivery feasibility decision-making, and product performance reporting, while escalating opportunities to improve efficiencies and functional coordination
  • Lead the completion of change management activities across functional partners and ensure adherence to the firm’s risk, controls, compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • Effectively manage timelines and dependencies while monitoring blockers, ensuring adequate resourcing, and liaising with stakeholders and functional partners 
  • Assess platform readiness for client migration to new operating model, including functional requirements, quality control and reporting, plus operational readiness.
  • Collaborating with development teams on the execution of the product roadmap. Requirement gathering, functional testing and training users.
  • Partner with the Performance Operations team and the Product team to understand client behavior and needs to execute and deliver business requirements. 
  • Assists senior department leadership with project staffing and governance decisions. Leads/influences less experienced members of the team in matrix reporting environment.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with vendor and internal management
  • Possesses business-level understanding of platform functions (legacy and external)
  • Identifies, documents, and resolves production issues pre and post migration. Work independently and as a team to verify performance/risk analytics at multiple levels across platforms using available tooling.
  • Provides concise client migration status updates and assists with prioritization. Presents findings, outcomes, and solutions at stakeholder meetings

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product delivery or a relevant domain area
  • Demonstrated ability to execute operational management and change readiness activities
  • Strong understanding of delivery and a proven track record of implementing continuous improvement processes
  • Experience in product or platform-wide release management, in addition to deployment processes and strategies 
  • Previous industry experience with institutional clients (working with market leading performance, attribution, and analytics software platforms e.g. FactSet)
  • Deep understanding of systems/software development lifecycle
  • Proficiency with office productivity software
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to work hard and be on a steep learning curve
  • Attention to detail with demonstrated problem-solving ability

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proficient knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
  • Deep understanding of investment performance and attribution calculations and methodologies
  • Industry recognized professional certifications such as CFA, CAIA and CIPM are encouraged
  • Degree in business, finance, or math is preferred
  • BA/BS/MBA or equivalent
  • Experience supporting more than one CCB Operations Function/Line of Business
