About this role
Mission:
A JobNimbus Director of Design is a strategic leader who bridges the gap between user needs, business goals, and design excellence. They champion a user-centric approach, fostering a collaborative environment to create intuitive and delightful product experiences.
What you’ll be doing:
- User Impact: Driving measurable improvements in user engagement, satisfaction, and key user metrics.
- Design Excellence: Delivering high-quality design solutions that meet usability, accessibility, and brand standards.
- Team Leadership: Building a strong, motivated design team, fostering professional development and collaboration.
- Strategic Thinking: Aligning design efforts with business goals and product roadmap, translating user needs into actionable design solutions.
- Communication & Advocacy: Effectively communicating design decisions and rationale to stakeholders across the organization.
- Minimum 5+ years in product design leadership
- Proven track record of leading and mentoring design teams.
- Strong understanding of design principles (interaction design, UI/UX, visual design).
- Experience with user research methodologies (user interviews, usability testing).
- Proficiency in Figma and other tools (Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Ability to translate complex concepts into clear and concise design solutions.
- Passion for user-centered design and a relentless focus on improving user experience.
