Recycling Shop Hand (CDL Class A Required)
Location: Grand Junction, CO
Pay: $22.00- $24.00
Job Summary
Jennmar Services is seeking a dependable and hardworking Recycling Shop Hand to support a busy non-ferrous recycling operation in Grand Junction, Colorado. This hands-on position is responsible for sorting and processing recyclable metals, operating equipment, maintaining a safe work environment, and making local deliveries and pick-ups as needed. A valid CDL Class A license is required.

Responsibilities
- Perform general shop and yard duties in a non-ferrous recycling facility.
- Operate a CDL Class A truck for local pick-ups and deliveries.
- Load and unload scrap materials using forklifts, loaders, and other equipment.
- Sort, identify, and grade non-ferrous metals, including copper, aluminum, brass, and stainless steel.
- Operate forklifts, skid steers, loaders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Assist with other shop, warehouse, and yard responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License (required).
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and meet all DOT requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent bending, lifting, standing, and walking.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a scrap metal or recycling facility.
- Experience operating forklifts, skid steers, front-end loaders, or other heavy equipment.
- Experience with roll-off trucks, dump trucks, or flatbeds.
- Knowledge of non-ferrous metals and recycling operations.
