Position Summary -

This position will provide support services for ground-based C/UAS Radar systems. Selected individuals will be trained at the Original Equipment Manufacturer facility; after the training period, Field Service Engineers (FSEs) will be expected to provide testing, installation, integration, sustainment, and over-the-shoulder training to military units in receipt of Radars. FSEs will be required to provide these hands-on support services for the radar systems at locations throughout the United States and locations globally. 

Job Description -

FSEs will perform support services at US military bases and test locations globally and must be able to provide:

• Over-the-shoulder training of gaining Units in the operation of the radar and limited Operator maintenance

• Maintenance of the Radar system to ensure the required operational availability

• All supply chain operations in support of radar maintenance

• Collection and supply of all required data to support customer and Government reporting requirements, to include performance status, issues or concerns 

Skills -

• Troubleshooting and repair of failed system components

• Interaction with system configuration management and tracking

• Inventory control, spares management, stockage and storage

• Coordinator and acquisition of all required data to satisfy relevant military Service reporting requirements

• Response to emergency requirements

• Supervising/assisting other FSEs in the field (as required)

• Training of military Service gaining units

• Briefing senior military personnel on program status and issues


Qualifications/Certifications -

• Experience (minimum five years) in US military ground-based radar system operations, fielding, supportability and maintenance

• Knowledge and understanding of radar theory, radar design, field testing, and electro-mechanical maintenance analysis, including troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair/replace techniques, and documentation. 

• Must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds or more unassisted

• Possess the ability to assist and provide input for development of training, maintenance, and logistics publications, and validate/make recommended changes to future operator manuals in support of the assigned radar system

• Possess field engineering and equipment fielding experience in support of defense programs.

• A working knowledge of military logistics and supply procedures is desirable.
