Position Overview
The Project Development Manager acts as a primary link between clients, internal teams, and external partners, ensuring projects are delivered seamlessly and client expectations are consistently exceeded. This role combines creative abilities, project management, and client communication, requiring a proactive mindset and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Work Environment
Hybrid: 3 days per week onsite in Dearborn, MI
Responsibilities
- Develop event concepts and activation strategies.
- Create clear, compelling PPT presentations that effectively communicate ideas and strategies.
- Collaborate across teams on client initiatives.
- Assess client and stakeholder needs, anticipate challenges, and deliver proactive, solutions-oriented recommendations.
- Take an active role in internal and client meetings to ensure alignment, clarity, and forward momentum.
- Serve as the primary client contact as needed, providing regular updates and maintaining transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, ensuring all milestones and deliverables are met on time.
- Track and manage project documentation, reports, and databases.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors as needed to communicate requirements, updates, and changes.
- Draft, edit, and refine client communications, briefs, and presentations.
- Support the growth and retention of client relationships, contributing to long-term account success.
- Travel to event sites to help execute and provide on-the-ground support for clients and teams.
- At the beginning of employment, spend at least 3 days per week in office so that relationships can be developed with different departments.
- On an ongoing basis, when projects or client meetings require it, maintain a consistent in-office presence (3 days per week) to support collaboration, mentorship, and project execution.
- Perform other duties as required by the project.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5+ years of experience in account management, event management, or client services.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and presentation tools (PowerPoint, Google Slides, etc.).
- Willingness to travel for events as needed.
- Experience in an agency, experiential marketing, or automotive environment is a plus.
