We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at St Mary's Vets on a full-time basis to cover maternity leave for 12 months.

 

St Mary's Veterinary Surgery is a small practice renowned for its friendly atmosphere and committed team of professionals passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of animals. Access advanced diagnostic tools such as digital x-ray, ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory. Located in Tamworth, a vibrant market town with rich heritage, it boasts landmarks like Tamworth Castle and is home to historic heroes, including the well-renowned Tamworth pigs. Enjoy excellent retail facilities, fun attractions, numerous nature reserves, and easy links across the region and nationally.

 

How You’ll Make a Difference

 

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

 

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

 

Working Pattern

 

* Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8am - 6pm (one hour lunch) Tuesday and Thursday 8am - 2pm

 

Key Responsibilities

 

* Liaising with the clients and the clinical staff to provide a high level of customer care.

* Meeting and greeting clients and pets.

* Booking appointments and diary management.

* Managing telephone and email enquiries.

* Taking payment for services and products.

* Managing cash and end-of-day banking.

* Maintaining a clean and safe space for our clients and their pets.
