Position Summary
ITT Enidine is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their team in Orchard Park, NY. The Supplier Quality Engineer will participate and lead MRB activities, manage supplier performance, perform source inspections & audits, and manage NPI verification activities.
Essential Responsibilities
Support Material Review board (MRB) activities, including:
Investigate supplier rejections
Manage SCAR’s
Coordinating return-to-vendor (RTV) activities
Tracking corrective action status
Serve as primary quality owner for high-risk suppliers.
Review and disposition supplier deviations in collaboration with engineering and operations.
Manage assigned suppliers within the Approved Supplier List (ASL)
Lead supplier audits and on-site assessments
Drive supplier performance improvements using scorecards and metrics
Assist supervision in establishing and maintaining supplier performance metrics and reports
Support supplier onboarding and development.
Review FAI submissions and ensure compliance with requirements.
Assist suppliers with development of control plans/inspection plans
Mentor SQEs and inspectors and influence cross-functional teams
Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives impacting DPPM, OTD, Scrap and cost
Ensure robust flow-down and compliance with customer-specific and regulatory requirements
Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline; or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, certifications, and relevant supplier quality or manufacturing quality experience.
5+ years of quality experience in manufacturing.
Experience leading supplier corrective actions and root cause investigations.
Experience working directly with suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive improvement.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
Strong attention to detail, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Aerospace, defense, industrial, or regulated manufacturing experience
- AS9100 quality management system experience
- Supplier audit experience
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
