Hardware Technician
About this role
Clearance: Active Secret
- Install, configure, and replace desktop and laptop computer hardware.
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware-related issues.
- Install memory, hard drives, SSDs, and other computer components.
- Image and deploy computers and peripheral devices.
- Perform hardware upgrades and preventive maintenance.
- Set up workstations, monitors, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Diagnose equipment failures and coordinate warranty repairs when necessary.
- Maintain inventory of hardware assets and spare equipment.
- Document repairs, installations, and equipment status.
- Follow established procedures for handling and protecting government or company equipment.
- Provide basic technical support to end users as needed.
- Maintain an organized and safe work area.
- 1+ years of experience supporting computer hardware, or equivalent technical training.
- Basic understanding of PC hardware and Windows operating systems.
- Experience installing and replacing computer components.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware failures and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Familiarity with desktop imaging or deployment tools is a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
